Muhammad Ali Anwar
I graduated from Dow Medical College in Pakistan and completed my internal medicine residency at Guthrie Hospital in Pennsylvania, followed by infectious disease fellowship at The Ohio State University. Since 2015, I have been practicing at Baylor Grapevine Hospital.
Outside of work, I am a devoted family man, cherishing time with my parents, wife, and extended family. We are blessed with four wonderful children, aged eight, seven, two years, and four months.
The unwavering resilience of the people of Gaza profoundly inspired me, motivating a deep commitment to civic engagement and a desire to use my skills and position for the betterment of society. This passion drove me to become politically active, co-founding the Dallas chapter of a major political party and leading its presidential campaign efforts in Texas.

My vision for the Dallas Muslim Medical Association is to build a united and empowered network of Muslim healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence in service, education, and collaboration. I am committed to advancing initiatives that support professional development, create mentorship opportunities, and make meaningful contributions to the community through healthcare outreach and advocacy.
In alignment with the founding vision, I aspire to expand the association’s reach, transforming it into a nationwide organization. DMMA can play a vital role in assisting new physicians by connecting them with well-curated opportunities in jobs, practices, and residencies. Additionally, we can actively promote Muslim entrepreneurship by vetting and supporting Muslim-owned businesses and startups.
DMMA is uniquely positioned to influence sociopolitical justice by fostering connections with local representatives and legislators, ensuring that our community’s voice is heard and impactful.
