Amir Khan, MD
Urology
Frisco, TX
Salam, my name is Amir Ishaq Khan, and I’m a urologist with Urology Clinics of North Texas, primarily based at the new hospital Baylor Scott & White PGA Frisco.
I grew up in Memphis, TN, and I attended college at Dartmouth and medical school at Emory University. I completed my urology residency at Yale University, followed by a fellowship in Endourology & Minimally Invasive Surgery at Vanderbilt University.
I specialize in minimally invasive endoscopic and robotic surgery. My clinical interests include the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), particularly with holmium laser enucleation of prostate (HoLEP), as well as complex kidney stone disease, ureteropelvic junction obstruction, ureteral stricture disease, and urologic malignancies, including kidney, upper tract urothelial, and prostate cancers. I am trained in all aspects of general urology and care for patients with erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, recurrent urinary tract infections, low testosterone, and male infertility.
I live in Frisco with my wife Sidra, a speech-language pathologist. I’m fluent in Spanish, Hindi/Urdu, and Punjabi. Outside of medicine, I’m a big fan of mixed martial arts and Formula 1 racing. I am very excited to join such a strong and vibrant Muslim community and look forward to meeting everyone inshaAllah!
